SUMMITS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN GREAT SOURCES OF INSPIRATION THROUGHOUT THE AGES. FROM THE PHILOSOPHER TO THE MOUNTAINEER, FROM THE WRITER TO THE DIRECTOR, THE PEAKS HAVE ALWAYS FASCINATED...

One does not exclude the other, it is even recommended to combine them to encourage group bonding. The mountain buddies evoke those precious moments spent with friends around a common goal; climbing a pass, a summit, hiking, sliding down the slopes and then meeting around a table. The mountain buddies are also the roped parties. Among the legendary roped parties that have marked history, let's mention some exceptional duos: Lachenal and Terray, authors of the famous “The Conquistadors of the Useless”, Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay, who were the first to have climbed Everest on May 29, 1953, or the rogue roped party, Lucien Bérardini and Robert Paragot, who were known for having shaken up the codes of the high mountain guides in the 1950s.
