On the 23rd of March in 1907 Charles Simon of the Fédération Gymnastique et Sportive des Patronages de France, founded the CFI ,Comité Français Interfédéral. It is the direct ancestor of the present day official football organisation, founded in 1919.
The CFI, unites all the football managing federations in France except the USFSA, The Union des Sociétés françaises de Sports AthlétiquesA new competition is born : the Trophée de France.Pierre de Coubertin who had a very good relationship with Charles Simon, crowned the competition with a trophy worthy of Rugby's bouclier de Brennus that a few years earlier he gave to the French rugby championship. The French Cup is named after Charles Simon who died in combat in June 1915.This shirt is proudly made in partnership with the National Sports Museum.
