

The history of the productALPES D'HUEZ
THE ALPE D'HUEZ CULMINATES AT 1850 M, IT IS FAMOUS FOR ITS 21 NUMBERED TURNS NAMED AFTER FAMOUS CYCLISTS.
This pass is a must-do climb to be done at least once in your life as a cyclist! Every day, an average of 300 cyclists take part in the climb... On the menu, 14 km of ascent for 1133 m of positive difference in altitude at an average of 8 %.
On the competition side, the Alpe d'Huez has of course its stories full of emotion that have become legendary, among them the arrival hand in hand of Greg Lemond and Bernard Hinault in 1986, when they were fighting during the climb although they were part of the same team. Another fight in 1989, between Greg Lemond and Laurent Fignon, the Frenchman dropped his competitor at 4 kilometers to take back the first place of the classification that he would lose again a few days later on the Champs Elysees for 8 seconds.
