The Union of the French sports and athletics organisations (L'Union des Sociétés Françaises de Sports Athlétiques). At the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th century, the French teams for athletics, football, rugby, hockey and fencing all made themselves known internationally while sporting these two symbols.
