History of the product

ENGLAND 1910

Here is the rose that pricked the French during the first edition of the Five Nation’s tournament.

1910 saw the inclusion of France in this competition which until then had been reserved for the 4 Anglo-Saxon countries. The Five Nation’s tournament begun on the 1st of January 1910 and was played until the 28th of March.

On the 3rd of March 1910, for their first home match before 8 000 spectators at the Parc des Princes, the French lost to the English 3 to 11... An honorable score for the French whose game was still evolving, as their captain Marcel Communeau remembered later.

No roses without thorns... The French suffered 11 defeats in the Five Nation’s tournament before winning a match against England in 1927 at the Yves du Manoir stadium in Colombes!
