History of the product

JAPAN 1932

This is Japan’s first victory jersey.

Even though rugby dates back a long time in Japan (the first club, the « Yokohama Football Club » dates from 1866) the first national team was only created in 1930. Their first international match was in Vancouver but it was on the 31st of January 1932 that the « Cherry Blossoms » played at home for the first time. In the packed out stadium of the Hanazono club, they won 9 to 8 against the Canadians in front of 25 000 triumphant spectators! This jersey is proudly handmade in France.
