History of the product

At the end of 40s and in the early 50s, Ireland dominate the after war European’s rugby. The team is led by his captain and hooker Karl Mullen, as well as his incredible fly-half Jack Kyle designated in 2002 “the Greatest Ever Irish Player”. Between 1948 & 1951, the Irish team wins 3 out of 4 of the 5 nations ‘tournament from which one 1 grand slam in 1948, the first of the Irish history! Wales is the only team who managed to win in 1950, relegating the Irish to the third position of the tournament. That time is considered as one of a period of golden age of the Irish rugby. The jersey is proudly made in France by Sports d’Epoque and in partnership with the French National Museum.
