History of the product

NOBLE ART

Noble art, is the nickname given to boxing.

Practiced during Antiquity in the form of Pugilat, it reappeared during the 18th century in England; the fights were organized by punters who took as an example the ancient pugilat. At the time, it was poorly regulated and was practiced with bare hands.

The first great unarmed boxing champion was fencing master James Figg in 1798. His pupil Jack Broughton won almost 400 fights until the day he accidentally killed his opponent. Traumatized, he drew up the rules of boxing, then the Marquis of Queensberry with the help of John Graham Chambers, made it compulsory to wear protective gloves and prohibited combats at the finish, which also prohibited hitting the opponent on the ground.

In 1904, the first Olympic events in Saint-Louis in the United States where female boxing was represented as a demonstration sport.
