LEV IVANOVICH YASHIN, ALIAS THE BLACK SPIDER, IS OFTEN CONSIDERED THE BEST GOALKEEPER OF ALL TIME

He is the only goalkeeper to have won the Golden Ball, which was awarded to him in 1963. He was the first player in this position who can be described as "modern" tactically and technically. Not afraid to step off his line to counter the ball carrier, he was also the precursor of reflex saves, aerial exits, or with his fists, known and learned by all goalkeepers today. His all-black tunic, often accompanied by a cap of the same color, earned him the nickname of Black Spider, comparing his goal to an impregnable web.
