The history of this jersey

product history image

The Championship machine

This rugby jersey is directly inspired by the "Machine à championnat" or "Championship Machine" name awarded to the Castres Olympique team in the 1950s.

This team breathed balance, the more it advanced in the championship, the more it perfected itself and the better it played approaching the final.  Jean Matheu, the "gentleman rugbyman" was the captain of the two teams winning the Bouclier in 1949 & 1950. Roger Gabarrou was "the president of the champions". At this time the incredible abbot Pistre was in the president's team. he gave us the famous saying 'every Sunday I distribute the lord's bread' which has seduced more than one rugby forward!
