Here is the Rugby jersey emblazoned with the emblems of France from 1905-1924

1905, It was for a France vs Ireland match that this rooster appeared  "undoubtedly red" according to different sources.

1906, A replica of the jersey worn by the USFSA French team in 1906 for their first official match against the New Zealand “Originals” team. It was the best ever French team with French players from Brive, Perpignan, Toulouse & Lyon, but also an Englishman and an American.

1914, At the end of the 19th century and the start of the 20th century, the French teams for athletics, football, rugby, hockey and fencing all made themselves known internationally while sporting these two symbols. But the 13th April 1914, The cock falls after being defeated by Ireland and Wales, France is beaten in Colombes by England 39 to 15. England win the tournament and the Grand Slam. 

1920, This Gallic Rooster with spread wings belonged to René Crabos, a talented player who was one of the first grand tacticians of French rugby.

1924, In Paris, rugby XV appeared for the fourth time in the Olympic games program.
