The first French rugby jersey!
It was an Anglo-Le Havre man Frederick Field Langstaff who founded the first rugby club on the continent in 1872.
This is how in 1910 the LANGSTAFF stadium was born in the name of William Ramsey Langstaff, eldest son the club’s founder.
The club colours were chosen after a long discussion; some wanting the Cambridge sky blue, the others wanting Oxford navy blue. The reverend Orlebar decided: « sky blue and navy blue » and that’s how this jersey was born.
