The history of the productCatalogue
Yes, Bernard Cassepate and Bertrand Sversale never existed. But we wanted to give a nod to the albums of our childhood.
To the images exchanged in the playground, to the style of the players of the time. It was in the 50's, in Italy, that it all started. The Panini brothers, newspaper merchants, realized through their distribution network that children loved to collect pictures of footballers found in chocolate bars. To better sell their newspapers, they decided to include them in every daily newspaper. Due to their commercial success, they had the idea in 1961 to sell pictures of soccer players to collect and paste in an album. The success was astonishing and during the 70's the market became international. Since then, millions of young soccer fans are also collectors.
