History of the product
ED & TIGER
Sir Edmund Hillary, Ed for loved ones, is a great New Zealand mountaineer. He was the first to climb the Everest with Tencin Norjay, nicknamed Tiger, a sherpa he encountered during the expedition.
They arrived at the top of the world on May 29, 1953 at 11:30 a.m. Thanks to the strength and motivation of this sherpa, Sir Edmund was able to successfully complete this expedition. This duo will quickly be called Ed and Tiger.
If Ed & Tiger were the first men to set foot on the summit of Mount Everest, journalists have constantly sought which of the two men was honored to be the first. Tensing emphasized their team's unity and performance, denying the allegations of being helped, but revealing that Hillary had been the first to set foot on the summit. He will say, "If it is a shame to be the second man on Mount Everest, then I will have to live with this shame".
This expedition gathered only 14 climbers, 22 sherpas and 362 porters to transport 10 tonnes of equipment. It only took 2 attempts spaced 2 years apart for Sir Edmund Hillary to produce this feat.
