The history of this jersey

product history image

In Paris in 1924 rugby XV appeared for the fourth time in a major worldwide competition !

Three teams compete : The USA, Romania and France

The Romanians lose both their matches. The French and the Americans face each other for the last decisive front of 20 000 people,in Colombes, the Americans win their Olympic title by beating the French 17 to 3. its an undisputable score, the athletic superiority of the Amercians is evident.… They say this final was very violent. It was to be the last rugby match played in this competition before the sport was excluded for various reasons, including violence, the arrival of professionalism in the sport and also hooliganism! It was also after a France-USA match in 1919 that Allan Muhr, the French-American manager of the French team declared that rugby was the most efficient fight to exist without a revolver!
