History of the product
THE USSR EUROPEAN CHAMPION IN 1960 !
1960 is the year of the first European Nations Football championship won by The USSR against Yugoslavia.
In Paris on the pitch at the Parc des Princes it was Viktor Ponedelnik who scored the victory goal in the 113th minute of the match. Viktor Ponedelnik remembers : "There are matches and goals that are really special, a real highlight in the sporting life of a player", "It was the greatest moment of my life."
Also to be remembered is Lev Yachine called "The Black Spider" who was the amazing USSR goal keeper at the time. He was the only « goalie » to be awarded the Ballon d'Or in 1963. Sports d’Epoque and its partner the National Sports Museum, pay tribute to this triumphant team and this grand tournament moment with its CCCP collection.
