History of the product

A REPLICA OF THE RUGBY JERSEY WORN BY THE FRENCH U.S.F.S.A. TEAM IN 1906 FOR THE FIRST OFFICIAL MATCH AGAINST THE 'ORIGINALS" OF NEW ZEALAND

For the French this was the best ever French team to play.

Sports d’Epoque, specialists in authentic replicas have reproduced this illustrious shirt for you. A replica of the jersey worn by the USFSA French team in 1906 for their first official match against the New Zealand “Originals” team. It was the best ever French team with French players from Brive, Perpignan, Toulouse & Lyon, but also an Englishman and an American. Henri Amand was the French captain and the famous Dave Gallaher was captain for the “Originals”. New Zealand had just finished a British tour where they were a sensation. New Year’s day at The Parc des Prince in a freezing rain, 3000 enthusiasts watched the Haka. The landslide victory of New Zealand by 38 to 8 took the spectators by surprise.
